Read-A-Route offers interactive route maps as a fun way to track reading time. Join a route, read and log reading time to travel the trail, and learn new things along the way.
News Update: April 25, 2013
For those readers who have already finished our Idita-Read 2013 Event, you can keep rolling by hitting one of the other Routes — which includes the free Ice Age Floods route and our Lewis & Clark Trail, which costs less than $4 to keep a reader busy a good part of the summer! In fact, I see some of our 2013 Idita-Readers already on those trails, that's awesome!
To select one of those routes, simply be signed in to your Read A Route account, go to the Routes page, click the name of the route you want. If you want the Ice Age Floods route, click the "Read This Route For Free" button, and you are ready to go. If you want the Lewis & Clark Trail, then click the button "Add to Cart" and complete the checkout. When done for either route, return to your Dashboard and that route will be ready for you to add your reading minutes!
Currently, Read A Route users can only use the Team Management feature if they are appropriately registered for an event, such as WorldWide IDEA's Idita-Read 2013.
Check out Points Of Interest (POI) along the way.Read-A-Route offers route choices for individuals and groups. As participants read and input the number of minutes they have read, each minute counts as a mile traveled on their selected route. Each route includes a number of Points of Interest at which the reader can learn about the place — or other related topics — along the way, from the route's starting point to its finish.
